Ringing times

Practices

Practice night is Wednesday from 19:45 to 21:30 and all visitors are very welcome. We cater for all standards of ringing, from rounds to cinques, and sometimes maximus. We ring all twelve bells most practice nights and Sundays, usually at least Grandsire Cinques, sometimes Stedman and we have rung quarter peals of Cambridge Maximus. However, if you have not rung on twelve, don’t be put off, we ring on six, eight and ten as well, and we can give you the opportunity to try twelve. Please use the Contact us form to let us know you’d like to visit.

We always miss the practice in Holy week, but apart from that we very seldom miss a practice. For occasional missed practices etc. see the Home page or look on Twitter for news.

If you are coming from a distance and want to be sure, please contact one of us in advance.

Service ringing

On Sundays we ring from 8:30 to 9:25 and from 17:00 to 17:55 for Evensong except when there is a peal or quarter peal attempt. Quarter peals are usually on the second Sunday in each month; peals more usually on the first Sunday.

If you are interested in booking the bells for a peal, please see the Peals and quarters page.
